The 2018 North Korea–United States Summit was held in Singapore

This summit is commonly known as the Singapore Summit. It was a meeting between North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un and United States President Donald Trump. This summit was held at the Capella Hotel in Sentosa, Singapore, on June 12, 2018. Here, they signed a joint statement and agreed to new peaceful relations, security guarantees for North Korea, recovery of soldiers' remains, follow-up negotiations between high-level officials, and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. This was the first meeting between leaders of North Korea and the United States. Also, both leaders met Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong separately.
