Wisari Ella - A beautiful waterfall in the Badulla District

Wisari Ella is formed by the Punagala and Alikola Rivers. These rivers flow from the Maha Kande Mountain’s eastern slope. Then, this waterfall flows into the Kirindi River.
Travelers should travel 20 KM from Kumbalwela Junction (on Badulla - Bandarawela Road) on the Wellawaya - Kumbalwela Road turn off at the Kuragama Junction and travel for another 3 km on the by-road to reach this waterfall. On the other side, travelers should travel to the by-road towards Wisari Ella from Wellawaya by traveling 13.5 KM.
Wisari Ella is surrounded by a jungle with beautiful natural surroundings. It is usually full of water except during the dry season. Also, this waterfall has a natural pool which is suitable for swimming. A footpath is available to the waterfall, ending at the bottom of the falls, and a viewing platform has been built recently to obtain a good view of the waterfall.
