Ralph Lauren is an American fashion designer, philanthropist, and billionaire businessman. Also, he is the founder of the Ralph Lauren Corporation. His original name is Ralph Rueben Lifshitz. Lauren began his career in the fashion industry as a salesman for Brooks Brothers.
He founded the Ralph Lauren Corporation in 1967. Lauren developed his brand image around the elite American lifestyle and built one of the world's most successful brands in the fashion industry. Ralph Lauren's creations include various categories, including clothing, accessories, fragrances, and home furnishings.
Before starting his company, Lauren worked as a designer in a men's clothing company, Beau Brummel. Then, he started his company with men's clothing designs, but it quickly expanded to women's clothing, children's clothing, and home furnishings. He also has been renowned for popularizing the preppy style. Lauren was awarded the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award in 1996, as well as the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award in 2007.
